I was greatly taken with this softly curving Victorian corner shop that must have been
owned by a large prosperous family to be placed in such an advantageous position
next to the Bluecoats School you can see in the tree filled courtyard. It has three neat
dormers in its Welsh slate roof: a practical if not neighbourhood typical solution.
