This pair of beautifully proportioned Georgian houses are in a prime position as their owners could, and still can, step out of their own doors and into the Minster that stands immediately behind me. The plain flat front is perhaps a little stark for our tastes now, but in their day they were the height of fashionable living and their symmetry is still one of the most appealing facet of the style ~ simplicity is elegance!
