A splendid would-be town hall for Clayton built in top quality local stone when Gladstone was Prime Minister. The facade is symmetrical having two pairs of matching windows on each floor
separated by a narrow thrusted door section topped by a triangular pediment flanked on either side by a balustrade and decorated with pinnacles that look like bombs or mines. Since Bradford became a city, the building now serves as community centre. Quiet a come-down.
