| Why this group of wind swept moorland cottages is labelled
"County Bridge" I have no idea. They stand on the main road from Keighley to Halifax in an outer area called Denholme Gate. The gate, according to William Cudworth, refers to the 17C aristocratic park the land was made up of, with another entrance gate at Cullingworth. |
