The Foresters' Hall was built by this Friendly Society around 1846 and beside it's lodge purposes was large enough to have a room available for public meetings.

The Society was formed in the days when there was no NHS or simple ways to save money against a rainy day. Insurance policies against illness were available with funds for burials.

The building is now built into the Aire-Wharfe Community Housing Trust's OAP housing.
