Little Horton, Bradford

Little Horton village lies close to the centre of Bradford and has long since been captured by the city's rapid growth during the eighteenth & nineteenth centuries as Bradford took advantage
of its damp climate, its soft water and the plentiful grazing its clay soils allowed, to turn it from
a small market town with a prosperous small woollen industry into a major manufacturer of
high quality worsteds. So much so that William Cudworth called the city Worstedopolis.
