 | This part of the south western tower is Norman in style, the sole remaining Norman portion of the original Priory. The spire on this tower collapsed in a storm in 1741 necessitating the complete rebuilding of the nave. There are original stalls in the chancel and two fine Flemish brasses ~ that tell something of the importance of this eastern port facing The Low Countries across the North Sea.
