 | The oak door is a fine example of parchment fold carving dating from 1510. Pass through the wicket gate and have a look on the ground at the north side for the slate that marks the 13th century quayside. The Great Ouse has shifted quite a bit since then. The courtyard is quite spacious and evidence of its great age can be seen in the deeply worn steps into the buildings around. In this courtyard is the office of Kings Lynn Preservation Trust. |
