Queen Street and the Burkitt Court Almshouses

Inside one of the houses the links to the Netherlands are again apparent. The massive beam supporting the
ceiling, the height of the room itself and the style of the lamp here all point to that thought. Compact the
little dwellings may be, but what older person wants to be forever cleaning? It would be good to know who
