Red Mount Chapel, otherwise known as 'Our Lady of the Mount' was built by the Prior of St. Margaret's in
1485 as a place of rest for pilgrims to nearby Walsingham. It became a site of pilgrimage in its own right
in the century before the Dissolution. Isolated on the old bank surrounding the town it can now be
approached across the park called The Walks. The key for the chapel here can be requested from
the Tourist Office in the Custom House.
