I saw the site in 1991 being cleared for this building, marvelling at the state of preservation of the piles that were coming out of the muddy ground.

The result is certainly not what I expected.

This building is not old nor a pastiche, its is not new nor Corbusier nor Libeskind........
not anything in my opinion. It has as much character as a parking lot and less than a perfectly normal block of Dutch apartments designed to fit into an old cityscape.

Its like the centre of my own city, an opportunity missed.
