wish I could have captured the whole of this very satisfactory square with my
camera, instead I will draw a word picture. To my left the square opens up for
the main street Noard, lined with handsome old Dutch houses, to the right bar
chairs and tables meet the main door of Sint Gertrudiskerk, while behind me
lies the delightful Waag building and the Kerk's great detached bell tower around which the road leads out of town towards Hindeloopen on
the coast.
