When seen from this side the bell tower seems to be a lot closer to the church itself. The tower's shadow falling on the houses across the street says the street is narrow and the town close knit.

I would be interested to know where the grey-black slate of the gravestones comes from: it's not the first time I have seen this stone used in Friesland.
