Hendrick de Keyser replaced the old gable of the original house of C16 origin in 1615 at the behest of its new owner Eduard Emtinck who came from Antwerp.

The house is now owned by Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser and plans and a detailed description of its history and renovation by the VHdK can be found in Huizen in Nederland "Amsterdam" page 171.
