You can find the Bossuhuizen turning right at the end of Grote Oost.
The colourful friezes over the ground floors of the three houses show,
in glorious colour, the defeat of Admiral Bossu [See Bossu Stone
above]. You might also note the carved wood pilasters supporting
the facade, examples of which are plentiful in Hoorn. [See Veermanskade
and Doelenkade]. This house, Slapershaven 1, with number 2 and Grote
Oost 132, belong to the Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser. Their restoration is
dealt with in great detail with plans photographs and [Dutch] commentary
