A row of stately step gables built no doubt by well-to-do merchants
that overlook the harbour in the shadow of the Hoofdtoren. Note the
five facades with their pilastered ground floors and tall gables.

It's a pity the town council thought to put an unsightly bottle bank and
bins, though necessary, as close to such beautiful monuments!

In 2002 I noted with satisfaction the bottle bank had been moved.
